Dear colleagues, dear friends,

It is with great pleasure that the Department of Anesthesiology of the Cliniques universitaires Saint Luc invites you to participate at the first one-day symposium "Age, neurocognition and anesthesia: where do we stand?" which will be held in Brussels on Saturday, 17 March 2018.

This symposium focuses on the brain, one of the most important organs. The interaction between age, anesthesia and neurological disorders must be placed in the current interest for brain plasticity. This intriguing and complex subject shall therefore be approached from an anesthesiological as well as neurological perspective.

We are delighted to welcome several high profile speakers from different Belgian Universities and Prof. Emery Brown from the Massachusetts General Hospital as the keynote speaker.

We really hope that this symposium will bring together colleagues from a variety of backgrounds interested in this field and will encourage the interaction and the discussion between all participants.

Kind regards,

Mona Momeni & Marie-Agnès Docquier,

Department of Anesthesiology

Cliniques universitaires Saint-Luc, Brussels
